Dress Code Policy

The High School of Computers and Technology requires that all students adhere to our uniform dress code policy. This policy is in effect beginning the first day of school.

  • All students must wear navy blue slacks and a light blue, button-down, collared shirt (polo shirts are also acceptable)
  • In addition to navy blue slacks, female students are permitted to wear navy blue skirts. Please note that skirts must be knee-length or longer
  • Students are permitted to wear the sneakers or shoes of their choice

The following articles are NOT permitted:

  • tank tops
  • halter tops
  • belly shirts
  • tee shirts
  • shorts
  • mini skirts
  • any other deviation from the mandated dress code.

In addition to our policy, standard Department of Education rules apply; no hats or headgear of any kind will be tolerated. Please note that any hats, bandanas, etc. worn or visible upon entering the building will be confiscated at scanning. ALL CONFISCATED ITEMS WILL BE SENT TO CENTRAL WHERE A PARENT MUST PICK THEM UP.

Campus-Wide Ban on ALL Electronics

NO ELECTRONICS OF ANY KIND ARE PERMITTED IN THE BUILDING.

This includes, but is not limited to, cell phones, iPods, and MP3 players & laptops (unless they are being fixed at the school). Again, THESE ITEMS WILL BE CONFISCATED AT SCANNING AND SENT TO CENTRAL. If a student needs to use the phone to contact a parent or guardian, he or she will be permitted to use one in the main office. Please ensure that all electronic devices are left at home.

Feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions or concerns. We hope that the 2011-2012 school year will be an enjoyable and productive one, and we want to ensure that we are all on the same page.
